Welcome to St. Mary Cathedral Parish home on the Internet !!
On January 8th St. Mary Cathedral hosted "Epiphany Lessons and Carols". This was a beautiful and moving service of readings and music featuring a variety of anthems, motets, and carols in the grand English tradition of King’s College, Cambridge. What a wonderful service! Watch here for future musical events.

On July 4th, 2011 we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the setting of the cornerstone for St. Mary Church of the Immaculate Conception. Bishop Edward Kelly, Auxiliary Bishop of Detroit, was present for the cornerstone dedication. The Church building was completed and dedicated on December 8th, 1913. Many years later the Church would be designated as the Cathedral for the Lansing Diocese. St. Mary's first resident priest arrived in 1866.
On the First Sunday of Advent, 2011, the dioceses of the United States began to use the third edition of the Roman Missal. Here you will find links for the process of translation and all the monthly bulletin inserts scheduled for this diocese plus other articles. Additional information can be found on the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops website.
During the week St. Mary's offers a number of devotional opportunities such as Mother of Perpetual Help, St. Anthony and a Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration in the Cathedral. On the first Friday of each month the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament occurs following the noon Mass. In concludes with a short service at 3:00 pm. More information about these devotions can be found on the right under Devotions, Sacraments and Religious Education.
